Branching out: senior portraiture photography

I spent my spring and early summer investing time in some styled shoots... boy HOWDY do I have a lot to advise on how to host those (and how to not do those)! I have also spent a lot of time on personal development. Between cooking and eating better, taking extra long walks (when it isn't triple-degree heat), and growing more mature financial practices... I wound up not having the volume of visual content I expected to share here when I made my last post.

I explored family and maternity shoots, senior shoots, and a few wedding shoots. I was thoroughly exhausted by the end of it. And while I was taught very early in my photography education best file management skills, I realized that the limited nature of Lightroom's strip at the bottom was overwhelming. Add frequent end-to-end scrolling of the lil' digital film reel to get through the work and a laptop that sounds like it's ready for takeoff and... you really don't wind up editing as often as you want to!

That said, I will share some photos of a shoot I did on a grey day which was the most eye-opening of shoots. This one will easily inspire a future write-up on best practices for organizing styled shoots in the not-too-distant future. Vendors at the bottom.
